PFLAG meetings in newport beach, CA

What happens at a PFLAG meeting?

People come to meetings because they have a family member or friend who has come out, they are LGBTQ+ themselves, or they are allies who want to support the community by listening and sharing their experiences.

  • Meetings start with announcements and introductions—who we are and who we’re here to support.
  • Then, we’ll open the floor to anyone who has something to share or a question for the group.
  • We may also include a guest speaker or introduce a topic to help spark discussion.

You can share your story—or just listen—and we ask that anything shared is kept confidential.

Participation in this discussion group is voluntary—we are not professionals.  We are not therapists. We don’t have all the answers, but participants can offer support and the wisdom of each other’s experiences.

Attendees must be 18 or older unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Rules of conduct are provided at meetings—anyone whose conduct is not conducive to a supportive environment will be asked to leave.

Come see for yourself!

Our regular meetings are on the third Thursday of every month—from 6:30 to 8pm in the Annex at Temple Bat Yahm in Newport Beach (corner of Jamboree & Camelback St. near Bison).

PFLAG Newport Beach meetings are non-denominational non-partisan, and confidential. PFLAG Newport Beach is one of over 400 PFLAG chapters—with over 200,000 members nationwide.
