People come to meetings because they have a family member or friend who has come out, they are LGBTQ+ themselves, or they are allies who want to support the community by listening and sharing their experiences.
You can share your story—or just listen—and we ask that anything shared is kept confidential.
Participation in this discussion group is voluntary—we are not professionals. We are not therapists. We don’t have all the answers, but participants can offer support and the wisdom of each other’s experiences.
Attendees must be 18 or older unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Rules of conduct are provided at meetings—anyone whose conduct is not conducive to a supportive environment will be asked to leave.
Our regular meetings are on the third Thursday of every month. MEETINGS ARE EITHER VIA ZOOM OR IN-PERSON. Please contact us for an invitation.
Meetings are free, but becoming a member helps support our chapter as well as PFLAG National.
PFLAG Newport Beach meetings are non-denominational non-partisan, and confidential. PFLAG Newport Beach is one of over 400 PFLAG chapters—with over 200,000 members nationwide.
CONTACT US FOR AN INVITATION TO A ZOOM MEETING—AND INFORMATION ABOUT IN-PERSON MEETINGS WHEN WE ARE ABLE TO GATHER.
